South Korea Consul General Visits Knowledge University

Asst. Prof. Dr. Kayhan Ghafoor, the President of Knowledge University, welcomed the South Korean Consul General, Mr. Choi Kwangjin. Mr. Kwangjin intends to find new ways of collaboration between the University and the South Korean Government. The South Korean government showed the willingness to strengthen ties with KRG in several aspects. South Korea have already funded a significant number of schools across the region including donating school busses, and opening new libraries.

Many fruitful ideas were suggested by Mr. President including establishing a new Korean Language Center and an International Higher-Education Office to facilitate for admission to South Korean Universities. Mr. Kwangjin also suggested the idea of holding mutual social and cultural event to take place in October 2021. Such event would incorporate many activities including Kurdish-S.Korean music playing.

Mr. Kwangjin presented some souvenirs to Asst. Prof. Dr. Kayhan and he then presented a Knowledge University Plaque to Mr. Kwangjin.

Mr. President took Mr. Kwangjin for a visit to the new premises at the Education College of Knowledge University including the large Cafeteria building. Mr. Kwangjin was impressed by the modern premises of the University and promised to follow-up with all the suggested ideas to and establish a connection with the Knowledge University on monthly bases.
