Impact of Foreign Language on Kurdish Language Identity

Under the supervision of Dashti Haji Najmaddin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, a special seminar was held in honor of Dr. Faryad Fazil, a renowned Kurdish scholar, titled "Impact of Foreign Language on Kurdish Language Identity." The event, graced by notable figures including Mr. Qadir Qachakh, Member of the Political Bureau of the PDK, Dr. Amanj, Head of Foreign Relations of the PDK, Dr. Karzan, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Higher Education Affairs, and Mr. Ahmad Garmiani, President of the Kurdistan Teachers Union, attracted local and international guests, party and government officials, and enthusiasts of Kurdish culture.

During the seminar, conducted in the original Kurdish language, participants expressed their profound admiration for Dr. Faryad Fazil's extensive work in preserving and promoting the Kurdish language and culture. Discussions delved into the historical and contemporary significance of the Kurdish language, emphasizing the responsibility to nurture it as a national treasure, particularly within the educational domain.

Dr. Fazil, the founder of the Kurdish Studies Institute and author of over 40 books, received accolades for his relentless dedication to the Kurdish language, culture, and history. Participants reiterated the importance of safeguarding and elevating the Kurdish language, echoing the sentiment that, just as Kurdish thinkers and poets have done in the past, it is incumbent upon the present generation to uphold their linguistic heritage. The seminar served as a testament to Dr. Fazil's invaluable contributions to the Kurdish linguistic identity and underscored the collective commitment to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of Kurdistan.
