Jiyan Ali Omar joined Knowledge University in December 2021. She is currently head of the Medical Microbiology Department (MMD) in the College of science and working as an Assistant Lecturer in MMD. She was awarded the MSc. in Biomedical science in 2015 from the University of East London (UK) and a Diploma in Pharmacy from Herefordshire University (UK). She worked as a Laboratory Instructor at the University of East London (UK). Before joining Knowledge university, she was the principal of Cambridge international school in Hewler. Her research interest is in medical microbiology and pharmacy.
